Russian

Russian honeybees are best known for their strong resistance to mites and their winter hardiness. They were first brought to Canada in 2000 and information is still being collected to see how their traits compare with other honeybees. So far, things are looking good!

They are gentle and are good at collecting nectar. On the downside, they seem to be more likely to swarm.
