Zippy Honey Dressing/Marinade

Makes 16 servings

Metric Ingredient Imperial
125 mL red wine vinegar ½ cup
1 mL black pepper ¼ tsp.
2 mL salt ½ tsp.
30 mL honey 2 tbsp.
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped 2
10 mL Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp.
15 mL Dijon mustard 1 tbsp.
250 mL water 1 cup
  juice of ½ lemon  
  1. Place all ingredients except water in container with tight-fitting lid. Shake well.
  2. Add water and shake again.

Flavour improves if made a day ahead. Dressing can be stored for several weeks.

Note: Honey is a safe and wholesome food for adults and children, but it should not be fed to infants less than a year old.
